Wear to top of spine. Titlelabel with tapestrip added. Corners a bit bumped. Stamps on foot of titlepage. Engraved pictorial title-page. 47 pp. and 16 fine engraved plates of which 11 are folded in double, triple-folio etc.. Internally clean and fine.

Scarce first edition of this monumental work on bridge-construction with detailled description of its construction, materials used, tools and the new machinery employed etc., including the 125 cm. long engraved plate showing the bridge.
